No can do Lee, my parents live too far away and everyone I know cant afford Sky.
I dont see the point in having it plugged into the TV for it to work, so its either broken, or not compatible, or it really does need to be plugged into the TV as well as Sky box.
It says its Sky compatible though *Shrug*

Re: Magic Eye
Do you not have any other TV's in the house with an RF socket that you could use to test? Take that to the Sky box, plug in the RF and see if it works?

Re: Magic Eye
Before I had another sky box in here I had a magic eye - When Natalie moved in we got the second box.
However the old magic eye is still in situ but unplugged at this end and the red light doesn't come on unless it's plugged in both ends is all I can say.

It dosn't matter if they are remote controlled - it has nothing to do with the test. We just testing to see if the other end needs to be plugged in!
DVD - doubt it - why would that have an RF in? That'll be an RF out - if it has one.
Perhaps the one you have is duff....
You could try some coax between the magic eye device and Sky box...just in case it's too close to the source...although that is picking at straws now...
..and just out of curiosity, I've just unplugged mine from the TV and it still works regardless...

Bearwolf says the light is on his one Dilli - guess that indicates it's working - may be wrong though...

Re: Magic Eye
Dunno - my one is the 'proper' one not a generic one. Maybe that's it?

To make sure its not "Duff" I could plug in the other one, I have 2 here, both brand new. I will report back with my results.

Problem resolved, Ty everyone.
I managed to move the magic eye, but the thing that resolved it was a reset of the sky box. I just left the sky box unplugged for a few hours and it ended up working.
 Yay

Re: Magic Eye
New Problem
Apparently my Dad has changed Sky to Virgin, and now has a Virgin Vivo box. I've read that this magic eye wont work on his Vivo box, and he is having his vivo box in a wardrobe in the bedroom, so he wants to extend the IR signal so he doesnt have to leave the wardrobe door open all the time.
Is it possible with a tivo box?
