Scientists in Australia claim to have created a transistor the size of a single atom, opening the way for the next generation of nano technology.

Manchester Uni has patented a process allowing the use of Graphene instead of Silicon, up until now Graphene would melt when a current was passed through it but MU have discovered a way to stack the Graphene which avoids the problem, as with the Australian tech Graphene uses single atom transistors.
