Random Page Redirects
Hi,
Im running Windows 7 X64, Firefox latest build. I keep randomly getting page redirects. I've tried running Rkill, following it up with antispyware etc, still getting random redirects. Could anyone share some advice besides a re-install as its a DELL laptop... *sighs*

Re: Random Page Redirects
Install MalwareBytes, reboot in safe mode and do a complete FULL scan.

Re: Random Page Redirects
if youve got a serious issue with your system id suggest down a copy of your os and burn it. make sure it matches your key.. 64 bit OEM/retail - home/premium/ultimate. the untouched builds have the latest service packs intergated which is a massive bonus.
hasnt the laptop got a recovery partition (they suck anyway)

Re: Random Page Redirects
Check your DNS and/or BHOs, it may have been changed in the registry.. Run Hijackthis to give you an idea of what's running. (PM me the results if need be)

Re: Random Page Redirects
Try installing Ghostery in the Ad ons - it blocks a lot of sites.
or Adblock plus - put the site into the block lists as you go.
Firefox - Check your settings in the options drop down menu.

Re: Random Page Redirects
I use pc tools/internet security and never had a problem....with a virus or anything else....I think the site has a sale on at the moment so I paid £40 for the year and I can use that sub to protect 3 computers.
Much better than norton or mcafree
