I decided to stick with SnowLeopord after people moaning about Lion so I hope this is a good upgrade.

Great. Barely finished upgrading our Mac servers to Lion - which was already a total friggin pain in the behind... Now they'll be begging for this too

This looks really good. Notification Centre looks useful.

Re: Mac OS X Mountain Lion
I gave a wide berth to Lion due to the number of problems users have been reporting with Logic and various AU plugins. Much of this is to do with the usual cycle of third-party development playing catch-up though... it's a bit of a big-deal with things like UAD and Antares stop working properly.
It'll be interesting to see if this latest update is a bit less disruptive.

Re: Mac OS X Mountain Lion
I too have stuck with Snow Leopard. No reason to upgrade...everything works OK as it is...whats the point in forking out

Re: Mac OS X Mountain Lion
So... what do people think?
I've had my iMac for two and a half weeks now, and it came with Mountain Lion installed. I don't know what it is like compared to the older versions of OS X as the only other one I have used is Lion on my iMac at work. This seems very similar to that, but with e.g. iCloud integration.
I like it... Although I turned off "natural scrolling" straight away!
As someone who already has various iDevices, the iCloud integration is great. As is having Facetime, iMessage, and a Notification centre.

Re: Mac OS X Mountain Lion
There is iCloud integration in Lion, to an extent - that's the reason I upgraded from Snow Leopard, as they withheld iCloud integration from that version of the os. I have Pages on the Mac and on my iPad so having sync work properly across those two via iCloud will be handy, although I don't use Pages often enough for it to be essential.
I've not bought Mountain Lion yet but probably will get round to it in the next few months.
