IE 8 Correct Settings ?

Looking to find the correct settings for IE 8.

Under Internet options:

General
Security
Privacy
Content
Connections
Programs
Advanced

Its a lot of settings to get right. Just did a reset and I do not think thatthey are set correct but a good place to start.

Google will not go to links......why.?..message bottom right hand corner,' done but with errors on page then it stops on the google page.

Is your compiter infected? Try scanning your system with malwarebytes

So you went to Internet Options and then Advanced and clicked the reset button right?

Go to tools and manage addons. Under toolbars and extensions check anything there that looks suspicious and disable it.

Also if you're on Vista/7 try upgrading to IE9 which may fix the issue.

Not much in there 1 enabled = Shockwave Flash Object (dont know what that is ) and 4 more disabled. (ispell etc)

Cleaned out all cookies and works ok now.

Have you tried reinstalling ?
