I have looked at the links here about best free software but many are out of date.
I used to have some free software that could take MP3s and burn them direct to CD as an audio CD but cannot remember the name. I have not done this for years and my machine has had several revamps since and CDs are old hat now.
However I downloaded an album from Amazon and want to play in my car so I want to make it into a playable audio CD.
IMGBURN is for dealing purely with ISO/IMG files and won't do MP3 to Audio CD's
Not true. You can burn Audio discs with IMGBURN. You need to create a CUE file first (Tools / Create CUE file) but it is possible. More user friendly software (as linked above) do exist.
