virgin media cable

hi all,
can one of you guys tell me exactly what cable goes from my virgin media wall box to the computer connection point inside my house (looks like standard co-ax?)

It will either be RG6 or RG59 cable.

Best bet is if you see a van pop over to them and ask them if they could make a lead up if you need to extend it, as I know some will sort a lead out for people.

Be careful though because it's not something that is really liked.

i am moving it from the front of the house to the back so really need the cable not a lead

Your best bet is to give them a ring, then because they will just run a new cable around the house if possible or they will just use a new lead/cable in the house and run it to where, you want it to go.

Can be a abit of pain from what I remember when I use to install cable doing it on the inside of a house but it can be done.

You could still speak to someone if you see a van, but I would give VM a ring and see what it will cost you to get someone out to do it.

To move a modem it will be a one off charge of £99 if you do it yourself you could cause noise issues on the local network.
