HDMI cables to from tv and av amp

My question to the forum is regarding HDMI cables... with the output from ps3 , xbox, br player, tv stb being HDMI, is it more appropriate to have each cabled to the tv directly or all to the av amp and one hdmi to the tv. if the former, how would the sound be routed from the tv back to the av amp??

To the AV then use the passthrough for the picture back to the TV. Or you could try a HDMI splitter if you were having issues with your TV or the device your using with the AV.

Depend's on how many devices you want on HDMI and also how many HDMI connection's you have on your TV.

Personally I have my Tivo, Xbox 360 and PC all connected on there own input's to the TV and then I have the audio go through either the TV or I use the Audio Out option on my TV and send it to a set of external speakers for better sound.

As Jamesh says everything should go through the amp first.
