What output quality do you need and what are you scanning?
Printed photos or do you have the negatives? 35mm? APS?

How many have you got to scan? Do you need a dedicated scanner? The only other option would be an all-in-one device.

Epson do some decient photo scanners which usually come with Negative attachments.
