Replacing Office 2010 'starter' with Office 2007

I have a 3 user licence version of Office 2007 (already installed on our main PC) and would like to install it on my new laptop. The laptop has a 'starter' version of Office 2010 (basic Word & Excel I believe) and I want to avoid running into any licensing conflicts/issues which I believe aren't uncommon. What would be the safest way to get 2007 version installed on the lappy without causing problems?

Cheers everyone.

Just uninstall 2010.

I have exactly the same senario, but my dad is seeing how he gets on with 2010 starter.

Re: Replacing Office 2010 'starter' with Office 2007

Thanks guys. When I have time (and the nerve) I'll try removing the starter version of 2010 from the laptop and see how that goes. I notice that the unsuccessful removal 'fix' provided above should only be necessary if there's been a problem with the installation of the starter version. Since it was factory installed and hasn't been used I'd like to think it's OK and therefore that the fix won't be required.

I'm just a bit worried because I don't want to get left with a machine which hasn't got Office 2010 starter but won't let me install the 2007 version.

its straight forward mate, remove 2010 as Hom3r said then install your 2007 version.
