My windows 7 has suddenly became a non genuine edition
Tried connecting a bluetooth adapter to my laptop, no success and when I called it a day my Windows 7 edition which I have been using for 2 years tells me its not a genuine copy.
When I put my product key in it tells me it has been blocked by Microsoft, I am at a loss as to why?
Now looks like I have to ring Microsoft support on Monday to try and get it sorted. What a pain.

And just to make matters worse, you'll get through to an Indian callcentre. When it rains it pours.

Contact their Activation line they will help u.
Yes unfortunately a lot of them are Indian. I remember ringing once to activate my edition of Windows XP Pro and the woman couldnt understand i just wanted to activate she was rambling on about me needing to reinstall my edition of windows and in the end i hung up and redialled and got through to someone English.

Better to get through to someone who sounds Indian rather than an agent with an American accent when speaking to Microsoft ..from my experience

Re: My windows 7 has suddenly became a non genuine edition
I remember an "enjoyable" late night at work talking to Microsoft's Premier Support, the expensive corporate support line. Because it was 7pm I'd been transferred from UK support to US support and the guy on the phone swore at me. Happy days...

Yes got through to a very helpful guy in India, who took control of my desktop remotely, rang me back so I didn't incur massive phone bill and sorted my problem and had a chat about how good our cricket team is beating his lot.
