Winrar is more user friendly, 7-zip can handle a lot more

really??? 7-Zip is very easy to use. I've always disliked winrar as an interface.

7-zip does the same job, but can open a wider variety of compressed archives. it's down to personal preference really. I prefer 7-zip for its ease of use and versatility.

it depends if you have a 32bit or 64bit operating system. safe bet is 32bit

Heres the link for Winrar, select either the 32bit or 64bit version at the top, personally i like Winrar over 7-zip but they both do the same job.

If dealing with TAR and some GZ then winrar errors out, for though the general PC user then winrar if fine..
