Talking Another reason we love our Macs

Apparently Mc'Donnalds are to offer free Wi-Fi to their diners so they can surf the net whilst munching on their Burgers

To prepare for this they have added connection instructions to their menu's
as attached screen shot below

Demonstrating yet again why we Mac users just "Love our Mac's"

That has been available for years and once you register your device automatically logs on when you access broadband in any branch that has free wifi, I have found this to be useful many times when visiting one of their restaurants.

McDonalds have offered free wifi in their restaurants for years.. It's operated by The Cloud..

That is (I believe) an American leaflet.

Also, it's worth noting that not only can the Mac make joining a WiFi network as complicated as the leaflet makes joining a Wifi network on Windows, but Joining a Wifi network on Windows can be as easy as that network makes doing it on a Mac look..

Yeah this is slightly old news. I first used their free wifi back in 2008.

To be honest all the leaflet tells people to do on Windows is check the settings are on default, which unless they've changed it would be uneccessary. The rest of the time it'd just be double click, done.

I don't think it's supposed to be news, it's supposed to be a wee chuckle at how much more complicated the instructions are for connecting from Windows compared to OSX.

I won't link to it for obvious reasons but my response to that is what Maddox says about "what PC owners can do that Mac owners can't".

Re: Another reason we love our Mac's

Funnily enough I went in to MacDonalds yesterday with this laptop for the first time. Clicked on my browser, it took me to The Cloud's sign-in page. Put in my details and I was online in seconds.

OoooOOooOOoooo let's set up a thread to tell the world how easy that was on my Win7 laptop...

Want one? I already have one that I love and have every intention of upgrading when the time comes. In fact, I typed my post on it..
