Re: Can anyone Identify This?

looks like 3 15A Spade female connectors with a moulded cover and a P-Clip on the cable.

Speaking personally, and bear in mind I have experience with this, do NOT try it if you are even a little unsure - mains cable, 3 fully insulated 15A (blue) female spade connectors and just plug them into the terminals behind the cover making sure they are in the correct locations, couple of zip ties to make sure the cable can't be pulled out accidentally when the connector cover is in place, and you have as much cable as you want.

Re: Can anyone Identify This?

I dont have any soldering abilities, but i dont want to damage the cable because of the warranty.

ive tried most websites in this thread but they cant identify the cable.

Its a nice TV but im never buying a samsung again, their customer service is crap, and they cant even supply the TV with a decent length AC lead, which means im going to have to wire up an extension up my wall, it will look a right mess.

ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Re: Can anyone Identify This?

I would never fit to an existing wall. If I wanted to wall mount a tv I would fit a floating wall first for all the mess to live behind. A lot of people fit to chimney breasts which of course would make this harder

Re: Can anyone Identify This?

it is a chimney breast, i dont see how that would be harder to fit to a floating wall, it's going to be drilled into brick and its less that 30kg

the tv isnt the problem, its only the power lead, that will make it look messy because the power lead will have to go to the right of the tv, and the hdmi leads to the left, which means i have to use 2 cable tidy's on the wall, but im not living in an ideal world where i could get away with one, thanks to samsung.

Its a female to male IEC Mains cable, Samsung engineer just told me, and apparently you can buy them longer than they supply.

---------- Post added at 13:36 ---------- Previous post was at 13:33 ----------

Re: Can anyone Identify This?

Yes it not an IEC Mains cable.

Instead of extending the mains cable and having 2 sets of wires out of either side of the telly then why don't you extend the HDMI cable and send that in the direction of the mains cable?

Personally i'd take the whole mains cable to an electrical shop and show them the connector and find the part you need or just extend the mains cable using an extender cable meaning you don't cut any wires like below?
