At the end of the day, you want a drive which can attach via USB.

The preference is what drive you go for. Personally I'd always go for a Saegate or Western Digital. Or course members will come along in min and say they like such and such drive. I've no problem with that.

Don't worry about the transfer rates - the bottleneck is USB.

great zing thanks and thats for the hardrive backup is it ,what is the 1 click backup for in that program Acronis its a seperate icon on the desktop cheers mate take care

Well got my External hardrive its a Western Digital 2 TB I havnt plugged it in yet bit afraid really ill have a read then have a go ,you guys have been great with all your help lets hope I can get it going and do a full P.C. backup

help please I conected my Western Digital up and it installed the drivers but cant find the drive anyware went to my computer nothing there whats up can anybody help cheers

Try going into Control Panel->Administrative tools->Computer Management->Disc Management->See if it`s listed there.

Have you re-booted yet? If not try that first.

Also check in Computer->Organize->Folder and search options->View->"Hide empty drives in the computer folder" is not ticked.

O.K.guys got it I rebooted it thanks all I need now is how to use it becaues there is no Instructions with it ,ans do I leave it plugged in all the time thanks
