[Update] Mozilla Foundation releases Firefox 4
Been using this for a couple of days know and am surprised at how stable it has been, even with some addons (This doesn`t mean it will be stable for you). Still getting used to the new layout but all in all it seems a tad quicker and the interface does seem cleaner/more refined even if it`s not yet finished.
Google/Bing it if you fancy giving it a spin.
p.s. Addons working are ABP and NoScript ( VideoDownloadHelper not working yet officially)
Thoughts on the new design? Is it to much like Chrome/Opera?

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
I like the cleaner interface with more space for the webpage, I'll install it on my Samsung NC10 later.

I've been using this on and off for a few days now, it seems stable to me and ABP and Tab Mix Plus are working fine.
I like the tabs on top and the new skin.
p.s I had to change to the default theme on Firefox 3 before this theme was displayed correctly

Its faster that FF3xxx. Exif viewer doesn't work, other than that no problems since Monday.

Task bar won't auto appear and no minimise, restore or close buttons in Win 7...

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
Sounds interesting. I would want X marks to work properly. Anyone using that with Firefox 4 Beta?

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
4 Seems OK with Vista 64bit. The persona loaded as was on 3.6.6 but persona itself is apparently incompatible though you can swap to previous persona's (themes). The dictionary is the US version only So please excuse the odd spellings. Much that was previously OK is now incompatible (check the add-ons). Plug ins do seem to all be fine.
Very quick compared to previous versions.

Robo form does not work on it yet but I am hardly surprised. Add block does but my youtube downloader does not again hardly a surprise.
Looks nice though and does run smooth

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
Don't like it so far. But I'll see how I get on with it during the day. At least it supports my screen reader.
The main thing I don't like is the way it spreads all my tabs across the bottom of the screen when I am using windows 7 sneak peek. Still, I'm sorting that out now.
I can't say as I am finding it any quicker though (On here or my laptop).

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
Firefox 4 fired up when I clicked on an emailed link to this thread, but wouldn't open the page.
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/19...-new-post.html
I had to reinstate 3.6 as the default browser for the link to work.
I like the minimalist look of the browser and the apparent quickness.

Re: Firefox 4 Beta 1
I use ' Add-on Compatibility Reporter' which seems to fix a few addons and make them work.
