My other half has a samsung tocco, and has some pictures on the phone memory is there anyway I can get the pictures from the internal phone memory to a laptop, I tryed yesterday by pluging it in via usb and chose mass storage on the phone and then it asked for a memory card, which it doesnt have one, I need to get this pictures as its of her old pet who died and she wants them on her new phone.

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
The tocco should use the samsung software to move things like that. Can't you just send them by MMS?

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
I transfer mine to my laptop over blutooth. It's really easy. Make sure blutooth is enabled on both devices and then just look for the blutooth device. It will ask you to type in a pass key. Choose a set of numbers and then type those same numbers when it prompts you on the laptop.
It should then connect.

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
If you connect the phone to the Lappy as you normally do, then open my computer.
In my computer there should be a 'Mobile Device' in there shold me memory options that you phone has (My phone has 'phone memory' & 'memory card')
in there will be the std file structure.

Are you using any software that may have come with the phone?

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
For phone memory you need Samsung PC Studion which I have and then it opens a little interface where you can drag things off the phone across.

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
/agree
You need the Samsung PC Studio to do what you are asking.
This software is not compatible with Windows 7, but you can force it to work.
Download the installation program and the drivers.
Set the compatibility option to each of these programs as Windows Vista SP2.
Run the installation program, then run the drivers installation.
After you have done that, you will need to do the same to the installed program, ie set compatibility to Windows Vista SP2.

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
or install a transflash (MicroSD) card into the phone, copy the content to it, then read the card on the PC

You don't NEED any other software
Use the USB lead (that comes with the phone) and set the phone as a 'mass storage device': Settings >> Phone Settings >> PC Connection
Plug it in, and drag and drop like any other USB device
...or like has been suggested before, use Bluetooth

Re: Samsung Tocco to laptop
Mass Storage only lets you access the memory card not the phone memory though
