Laptop typing problem
Nearly every time I type something on this laptop, all of a sudden the cursor thing jumps backwards or up a line and before I know it I'm typing in the middle of a sentence, does anyone know why this is happening? I'm careful not to hit any other keys as I type.
Also, is it possible to assign a key a different/particular function or are they all set?

Re: Laptop typing problem
Do you have a sensor pad on the laptop?

In the middle, this side of the keyboard.
If so, they can sometimes be a bit "sensitive".

Re: Laptop typing problem
I do but I have the same problem even when I disable the sensor pad. *sigh*
BTW, does your avatar have something to do with mines? Just curious.

Re: Laptop typing problem
Have a similar problem regardless of which lappy I am using. If you wear bracelets this may have something to do with it.

It's the wording on the front of a M18A1 Claymore Antipersonnel Mine.
What make and model of laptop is it?

Re: Laptop typing problem
Its a PB Easynote TJ65. Only about 4 months old, problem existed from day 1. Don't wear bracelets, only a watch.
---------- Post added at 14:58 ---------- Previous post was at 14:42 ----------
Scrubbs, tried the first link but it won't allow me to change the key to what I want, ie I want to be able to paste with one keystroke, and it won't allow the Ctrl V.

Regarding the bracelets - I was hoping that was the issue as it was the only explanation I could come up with as I have the problem regardless of which laptop.

Take it back to the shop and let them deal with it if it`s been like that since you bought it. Failing all else of course.
I have PB Easynote lying around somewhere too with a knackered x, down arrow and some other key i cant quite recall. My oldest daughter was using it before she got her new Netbook so i`m not too sure if it`s just dirty, sticky messy keys rather than actually being knackered somehow.
I`ll have a look one of these days, when i can be bothered.
I`ll probably end up passing it on to someone who can appreciate those S3 graphics it has.

On my Acer I have to press both the Fn & F7 keys.
The Fn is possibly in the botton left (blue Colour) the touch pad has a pointy finger icon on the F7 key.
It could also possibly be disabled via the control panel.
