Re: IE 9 Beta (merged)

Well that's me done with IE9 and back using IE8.
Found how to increase the sites in drop down address bar but then found a real problem.
Was playing Farmville on Facebook. I sent an item from my gift box to a neighbour and all went fine.
Decided to send another item to another neighbour. Box pops up at the bottom saying IE9 has modifed the script to stop cross posting. I lose the item and neighbour does not get it either.
Think might be a glitch so restart IE9 and try the same again. Once again IE9 changes the script and stops it.
Will stay on IE8 until, or if ever, this gets sorted out.

Re: IE 9 Beta (merged)

It's a release candidate, it's not the final version, wish people would remember that. Issues are still bound to happen until sites and apps sorts themselves out.

Re: IE 9 Beta (merged)

While I now appreciate it is a release candidate the email I had from Microsoft indicated it is the real deal and no mention it being a release candidate. Also selecting the download link in the email just downloaded the program so had no way of knowing it was still a test.
No real problems caused, but think that security setting may stay so will be a big problem for games like that.

heh you need to learn about microsoft.

RC in microsoft speak is pretty much final, they will change very little now and rush this to final.

also the stuff I moaned about is more their design deliberate than bugs so my stuff wont be fixed. good way to speed up a browser by removing functions of it

Re: IE 9 Beta (merged)

I keep getting Runtime errors on Facebook which force closes IE9.

Also, and this is more annoying, if I open a new tab and type a new address there or open a new bookmark the original tab I had open goes there instead - very annoying and I hope MS sort that out PDQ.

Re: IE 9 Beta (merged)

Apparently they have been working with Facebook to sort out these issues and Facebook have been making changes on their side since the launch of RC.

They have announced on Facebook that IE9 final will be launched in 4 days time.

As IE 9 has been officially released, this thread is not needed, so is closed.
