It might need the latest Flash Plugin installed to work properly (if FireFox)
And I've noticed Konqueror doesn't always render pages properly so I switched to FireFox.

Re: Trouble with Ubuntu
I found Mint was better for flash enabled sites as they seem to have done a better of with the plugins than vanilla ubuntu.

Re: Trouble with Ubuntu
I'm a developer involved with Ubuntu.
You need to describe your problem in more detail.
For now, it looks like you need to install the Proprietary Flash plugin.

Re: Trouble with Ubuntu
If this is a fresh installation of Ubuntu then you need to install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package, not just for your flash player but also many of the other plugins & codecs your going to want along the way.
You can install all the plugins & codecs separately of course but the restricted extras gets most of the stuff your likely to need in one go.
You`ll find it either in Synaptic via your System>Admin menu or you can install it via the terminal if you`re comfy enough with it.
Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
EDIT: And for future reference...

I wouldn`t say it was a case of Mint having done a better job with the plugins etc as it`s merely an issue with licensing and not having any non-free software installed by default.
I wouldn`t disagree though that Mint has gone even further than plain old Ubuntu to make things even simpler out the box for the potential new user but it is still just *buntu at the end of the day, albeit with a few extra cherries on top.

Re: Trouble with Ubuntu
You`ll probably already know by now but Ubuntu should inform you of any system updates needing done as well as any available drivers your particular hardware might require. Assuming you have say a GFX card that requires propriety drivers it should let you know automatically but if not then you can still find the hardware drivers utility in your System>Admin menu.
You should normally be doing any updating and installing of GFX drivers before you do anything else of course.

Re: Trouble with Ubuntu
Must admit I have dabbled with Ubuntu/ Kubuntu a few times now and have it on a dual boot partition at the moment. Never had this sort of issue, are you getting any errors on screen?
