Microsoft OFFICE 2010 (beta)

Office 2010 is a go.

Quote:
Microsoft Office 2010 now offers you rich and powerful new ways to deliver your best work at work, home, or school — on your computer, from a Windows Mobile-based smartphone or via a Web browser.1

Quickly and creatively grab your audience’s attention and inspire people with your ideas by using enhanced and easy-to-use tools, customizable templates, color schemes, and photo-editing capabilities.

With co-authoring experience across PowerPoint, Word, OneNote and Excel, you can work with people from different locations at the same time.

By offering more ways to access your files from almost anywhere, Office 2010 puts you in control of getting things done according to your schedule.

Office 2010 will release to market in the first half of 2010.

When all that most people do with word is type a couple of letters, I really wonder where the demand is for all these "enhancements".

Uninstall any previous versions of Microsoft Office. We highly recommend that previous versions of Microsoft Office be removed from your test machine before installing Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta.
I'm sure you'll be OK though, as you said you frequent Technet forums.

I've got it on download at work for my test machine, my hopes aren't all that high though.

Re: Microsoft OFFICE 2010 (beta)

I have installed it with 2007 as well but 2007 is located in Program Files\Microsoft Office and 2010 is in Program Files\Microsoft Office 2010 so hopefully nothing shall be damaged

Frankly, Office 2007 is a pile of poo already. If I ever saw a piece of bloatware, this is it. The major change that I can see is hiding functionality that was pretty obvious from text based descriptions in new, snazzy uninformative icons coupled with endless lists of useless style sheets. And don't even get me started on Microsoft Graph in Office 2007 for OS X. The muppet that authorised its release wants shooting.
