Windows mail

I receive my e mail through windows mail , I have just tried to get to my mail when all of a sudden i get a box coming up from windows security asking for my user name and pass word. I have never had this before.
But every time i put my details in , it wont accept it and my mail then wont down load. Has any one any ideas of what i could do.

Re: Windows mail

Who is the ISP / mail service provider. This often means that a password is either wrong or the server at the other end just thinks its wrong.

Re: Windows mail

I have had this problem also. What I do to cure it is to go to virgin media site and log into my e-mails there, it seems to cure the problem.

Re: Windows mail

I have sorted it , Last night i had an e mail from virgin media regarding an upgrade to my broadband speed. They also asked if i wanted my password changed which i did to one i can remember better. So when i was asked my password on windows mail i put the one in i set up the account with when i first had virgin media , not realizing that that automatically changed when i put a new one in last night.
