Low Disk Space

All of a sudden my laptop is telling me it doesn't have enough room for everything to run.

I'm not using anything differently, and i've used CCleaner to tidy it up.

Now it's suspended System Restore til i sort it out..

I've attached my task list, i suspect Firefox is leaking a little? Not sure how much it's *supposed* to use.

Any ideas?

Re: Low Disk Space

Yeah, the processes seem loads, but a lot of them seem to be Toshiba stuff? Like the touchpad and sound drivers?

What's svchost?

Firefox i had about 6 tabs open.

I've just deleted a load of movies from my hard drive, and it's stopped coming up with the error.

Re: Low Disk Space

did you do what I suggested? system restore can eat hard drive space. Processes eat ram not hard drive unless you do not have enough ram then it would page

Re: Low Disk Space

svchost is a system process, not advisable to terminate that. Usually the toshiba software can be disabled, just go into msconfig > startup, and have a faff around in there .

Re: Low Disk Space

and its got nothing to do with low disk space

Nothing there is using much of anything anyway.

I see your BT client nothing like a bit of file sharing for adding crap to a system

Re: Low Disk Space

Axe i've already done that, all the remaining toshiba stuff needs to stay.

Zing, i was looking at lowering both ram and hard drive space, but i didn't delete the system restores will do it now

Re: Low Disk Space

your showing us the wrong tab first and foremost performance is what we could do with seeing. Run a full clean up then scan with adaware and spybot clean all that up.

Re: Low Disk Space

Well here's the performance tab, after a small clearout, doesn't mean anything to me
