Given that we're talking about £40 for the printer, it has warrenty if it dies before the warrenty expires it's their problem to fix
if it dies afterwoods oh well I wouldn't know how to fix it even if i could get the parts anyway...

Now looking at a lexmark e120n slightly more expensive but has network printing support and Can still get fairly cheap toner for it.

Re: Cheap Printer?
Canon LBP2900i. Non-colour laser. £50 PC World with free spare toner cartridge when I bought it (though offer over now I think).
Nothing fancy, just excellent print quality. Seems economical too. Despite a lot of use, not yet got through original cartridge.
If it takes ages to start to print, download latest driver from Canon website. Then fast to start and print.

Re: Cheap Printer?
 Epsons!!!!!
My third printer has gone wonky It's a C46..The colour prints beautifully still but the black is terrible quality even after using a legit ink cartridge. No amount of nozzle cleaning clears it and alignment is impossible because I cannot even decipher the alignment sheet because the printing is so bad.
So bearing in mind I'm really strapped at this time of year, what apart from an Epson is there that will do a good job?

This is cheap
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-8155.aspx
but ink can be expensive with HP, however at this price it is almost possible to buy a new printer, rather than replace the ink cartridge.

Re: Cheap Printer?
Misco had the lexmark e120N for £46 + P&p (worked out about £52 inc postage )
comes with a 500 Page starter toner. so providing the price is correct and they actually send one looks to be a good buy (its ~£65 + p&P everywhere else)
Was going to get it from ebuyer @ £63 (they've put the price up since) but glad i didn't now.
Inkrite do a remanufactured compatable toner for ~£20 if I can actually find somewhere that has them instock.
Was going to get the samusung from ebuyer but Went for the lexmark in the end becuase it's network enabled meanning i Don't have to bootup a specific pc if someone wants to print.
http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/produ...0.html?tabId=1
Code:
etwork Printing Methods LPR/LPD
Direct IP (Port 9100)
IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)
HTTP
Enhanced IP (Port 9400)
FTP, TFTP
Network Protocol Support TCP/IP IPv4
Should arrive sometime in the week hopefully.
