Re: ATI 3870 problem

I get the same on WOW on Vista 64 and the same kind of thing when playing on my laptop (Vista32) with nVidia graphics. I think it's just a case of waiting until the problem is found and the drivers are updated.

Re: ATI 3870 problem

Problem solved. Its my power supply. I made a mistake on my build. I gave my son a thermaltake 850w. I put in mine the one he was ment to have . A crappy cheapo 750w. A £20quid special. So off the bay tonite I bought a pc power and cooling 850w used. Its about 2yrs old. Had little use. But has a 5yr warranty . Cost £37 with delivery

So if anyone else has this problem its due to your power supply. In other words replace it

Re: ATI 3870 problem

PCPC are a very very excellent make, so you should have plenty of years left in that. Good price.

Suprised you just didnt butcher your son's PC and get it back
