Laptop cable

Hi guys just gone to plug my laptop charger in and it made a funny crackling noise then would not charge the laptop.
I think the power cord is dead.
Is there any where I can buy a new one it is a packard bell machine about 2 years old?
Any ideas
Thanks

Re: Laptop cable

depends on what part you are on about:

1: is it the plug to trans box?
2: the trans box to the laptop?
3:what does the connecter look like that plugs in to the trans box, is it like the cable that plugs in to a sky/vm box or is it 3 round circle type of connector?

maplin also apparently sell universal laptop chargers

Re: Laptop cable

Maplin do universal laptop power supplies but you are lookling at about £25 - £40.

Shop around and you will probably find cheaper.

You must make sure you have the same voltage and amps. Details should be on back of laptop.
