Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
FF and IE6.
I don't use IE 7 'cos the folk who sold me this PC suggested it might cause more problems than I care for.I only use IE for updates and for the BBC iPlayer anyway.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Firefox - plugins, security and good cross platform support.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Firefox, for it's security and it's a lot easier on the eyes when browsing.
It can be customised to hell and back to cater for indervidual tastes. Never had the need of a pop up blocker with FF.
I use the wallnut skin for ff, as it seems to give me a much larger browsing window.
I'm forced at work to use IE, and i can't tolerate it.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Firefox... Used to be IE6 many many moons ago. Started at Firefox Version 1, then 1.5... 2... And using Beta 5 of version 3 on a virtual machine. Currently using Portable Firefox 2 right now.
I use it for the adblocking the spellchecking, the lack of mouse gestures. And for the stability.
IE and Opera seem to die when using Gmail for some reason. That's why i don't use them.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Firefox because of it's functionality, security, supportability and (with the miriad of extensions available) flexibility. However, if a website specifically requires Internet Explorer to view, then I utilise the IE tab extension (in Firefox) which gets around being forced to use the Microsoft application.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
I can't escape from IE7. It's the default (only) browser for work, and many work related sites require active-x type things for them to work properly, so Firefox is next to useless. Firefox is only really on lappy so I can test website changes.
At home I do tend to use Firefox over IE7. Some of it's plugins are more convenient, but not significantly so. Again I can't escape from IE due to work stuff from home, web compatibility checking and the like.
It would be really nice if one day all the browser developers fully agreed to and abided by one proper web standard. Then we could really all only run the one browser of our choice. But I do like living in a dream world.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
I still use Opera.
There's a similar/dupe thread here from a few months ago, mind you, it doesn't contain the words "and why" in the title.

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Use IE when I have to, tried Firefox and settled with Opera and have no problems with Gmail etc, just some bad sites which insist on IE (the least secure browser, possibly because it is exploited so much)

Re: Which Browser do you use and why?
Opera because it does everything I want straight out of the box and quickly (without add-ons ). Oh and it lets me collect and send my email without going to another program.
On the very, very rare occasion a web site is so badly coded even Opera can't handle it I either avoid that site or goto FF. Can't remember the last time it happened though.
Oh and I would worry all the add-ons won't work each time I updated FF.
