Yes just change the server in the Config for stunnel.

Although the Giganews accelerator will do the same thing and will also compress headers to speed up the transfer if your on windows.

i think giganews use a different ssl port
also dont they sell a ssl service cant they stop u using ssl?
dunno who knows
anyone know the ssl port giganews use?

Try port 443 or 563

Use port 443 if you are behind a firewall as its open to HTTPS traffic

yeah i did that
grabbit just gave me some ssl errors cant remember exactly and ive uninstalled stunnel now sulking

If you have SSL enabled on your giganews Account it WILL work with stunnel.

I know that for sure becuase my Linux pc uses it for pan.

my stunnel is setup to connect to

news-europe.giganews.com:563

It will work on windows although you can just download the giganews accelerator and that does the same thing (can find it on giganews.com)

Afarid Stunnel can only encrypt the connection if the other end is willing to co-operate.

If the other end doesn't want to talk SSL there's not much that can be done about it
