can you help me out ?

hi i have a dell inspiron laptop and i am just after jamming a dvd in it,it is stuck solid and the drawer wont open,any ideas as to how to unjam this without taking it apart as i am totally useless in this department,any help / advice will be greatly appreciated.

normally by right clicking the drive icon within "Computer" and choosing the select option from the context menu.

If that doesn't work; straight out a paperclip (or any bit of wire thin and long enough) and poke it into the small hole in the front of the DVD. That should release the latch that keep it closed.

above post has it, stick a pin into the hole of the dvd player, this will force it to eject, have had to do this one time before when mine jammed up

I've powered down PC so often before I've removed disk I have a permanent straighened paper clip on the top of my keyboard.
