I'd kill a load of (un-needed) services if you were sticking with 64MB.
Black Viper's page is a good guide.

64MB is abslute minimum req for 2K, you can get a stick of 256 for less than a tenner delivered.

Also, it's presumably shared graphics - drop the memory used for the graphics down in the BIOS. That should speed things up a bit.
