Wireless Problem
I have an Acer Aspire 5680.
Friday night the wireless was working, (Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection )
On saturday it stopped working (External exception eeface) error
So I disabled the card in device manager, and installed my Netgear WG111T that I got free with my Netgear WGT624v3.
That works ok now I keep getting the following error message "eNMTray.exe - ordinal not found ordinal 3171 could not be located in dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll"
I've reinstalled eNMTray, but I still get this message.
Doing some googleing I found this on another forum
http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/w...um/161634.html
I had received an update after installing the WG111T.
any ideals?
(BTW the router is OK I connected to it via both my dads PC and my PSP

Re: Wireless Problem
no IE 7
This seems to be a problem elsewhere, but instead of the of the EXE I said this varies.
I have removed and reinstalled the acer net management software but still get it.
I think it is related to a M$ update.

That's your problem right there. Sorry for not contributing anything helpful, but I had an Acer and I was not impressed with it. I had the fan as well as the HDD die on it. The fan may just have been bad luck, but the HDD died because of poor design which meant it hardly got cooled. Doing a virus scan caused the temp to go up to 50 Celcius. Luckily, my wife spilt coke over it, so I got to buy myself a new laptop (a Dell. Very nice)

Re: Wireless Problem
Hi There,
Are you running on Vista or XP?
I have an Acer Aspire 5920g - Its a good laptop, powerfull but - Vista was slowing it down something cronic - so I ripped through the registry and disabled all the stuff you really dont need.
However youre problem could be something to do with the change you did - I would install anything to do with the Acer Stuff - generally its a powe hog anywho!
