No Nvidia drivers since December
This is really getting my goat now. Ive installed a couple of new games resently and im starting to see a couple of problems. I do not know if its gfx drivers or not but there is a good chance seeing as as the title suggests there have been no new drivers provided since December. Ive been happy with performance of my card till now but I have 2 games that crash intermittant and another that looks a bit tish and seeing as its an Unreal III engine game it should now.
Someone needs to put match the Nvidias backside to get them off it

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
thats not on the site or on the auto scan jobbie where did you get them from?
Hmmmmmm if you look for drivers for that card its still Decembers but if you scan for 9000 series drivers it comes with your 174.74

http://www.start64.com/index.php?opt...042&Itemid=108 found info on your driver and its not certified maybe thats why its not available through the site

It is the Medion driver site, I'm not sure if it only works as OEM?

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
Mainly because it does not support the 8800GTS and secondly because it does not support the 8800GTS

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
im using the latest beta drivers for mine zing and it runs all games no probs the only reason, my pc has been crashing lately is because i tried to see how my pc ran with a lower nb, voltage but it just crashes so raised it back up.

It appears Nvidia are writting drivers only M$HQ are not certificating them but Nvidia could make this clear on their site so we knew they actually supported them. I will be trying the newest 174.74 driver today.

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
what games are you trying to play zing just some need microsft hotfixes that the game doesn't tell you about. crysis does need them but tells you about it of the top of me head i cant remember, one that does need them but doesn't tell you. i can play cod4/crysis/airbourne/c&c3+kanes wrath/unreal tournament 3 and far cry with no problem running the, 169.25 drivers and also the beta drivers i have installed, will be trying the need for speed games when i get home today as under vista they would run but it was like trying, to play them on a high resolution with max detail on a poor spec comp. hope that they run fine now i have sp1 installed as i miss playing them under xp they play fine vista is a different matter (gamers os my a**) more microsoft stupid claims. i mean on my rig you would expect anything to run on it and it does except for the most wanted and carbons versions of need for speed even with the patches.

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
there are 2 that crash intermitantly Imperium Romanum and one that isnt out till the end of April so that wont have hotfixes yet lol
Got 174.70 and the not out game yet was played for about an hour without a crash so fingers crossed
Most problems will be driver issues and not os but some will be

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
i know allot of people have had problems with ffow (fronlines fuel of war for those who didnt know), with the fact that the game wouldn't load etc but after getting the correct patches and stuff for it it works fine for me.
to bad the game is rubbish and graphically worse really than lets say doom (ok not that bad but near enough for a new game), for games that are released now you would think that they would all be on the same level as cod4 for graphics/gameplay i realise that some are driver issues but they cant always be blamed, it is down to the stupid game creators and also microsoft for not developing something that works properly.
i cant do there job but if i could i would want to know it works fully before releasing it, and that drivers that were out at the time of release were capable of doing the job.

Re: No Nvidia drivers since December
yes game code is made available to the gfx developers in beta stages so by rights drivers should be compatible at launch of the game. However as proven here half the new drivers are not available through the Nvidia site or information that they even exist there so what chance does that give us
