Connecting Toshiba Laptop to TV
Hello

I've just got a scart - s-video cable and i want to connect my Toshiba Satellite laptop to my Sanyo TV.

In Control Panel > Display, there's no other option for a TV or anything - i'd read i have to change that setting.

What do i do to make it work?

I have no clue...

Does your Sanyo TV have a VGA plug aka a normal PC monitor plug - if so - buy a VGA lead, connect it to the laptop and the telly - set the laptop to display on the telly and hey presto! Should be as easy as that!

Thanks. so from what i can gather, the S-Video lead doesn't carry audio so i'll need a separate cable for that?

Am i better off just buying one of those cables with the 3 colours at the end?

As you can see i'm fully up to scratch with all the technical terms

No, not unless your PC has a white out socket out - read the manual. ALso don't forget the £ to $ rate
