Is there a way to get my laptops function keys working? You know the ones to mute the sound or change the volume or brightness. That would be really cool! Especially since they are currently broken in my Windows XP installation... lol

Try and reinstall the drivers for the function keys.

You simply hold down the "Fn" key at the bottom left of the keyboard, and press the relevant Fx key

Looking at this picture the brightness it's "Fn" and F6 or F7
