connecting home cinema

im wanting to connect a home cinema system to my pc,
what wire would i need to do this?

You're going to have to give us a bit more detail, what cinema system?, what computer?, what are you trying to achieve by linking the two devices?, that sort of thing. The more detail, the better the help you'll get.

If you just want stereo, that lead would be fine. If you want 5.1 surround, your PC would need an optical out and you would need a TOS cable. Youn can buy cheap PCI sound cards with optical out, I brought one to replace the knackered one on my motherboard, cost me about £20.

you if you soundcards supports it, you can get 5.1 out using the line in and mic sockets are outputs...
