Think the most important ones are

Motherboard > SPD

Done the report, although one thing i did notice, the "motherboard > SPD" comes up blank... maybe because i'm not admin on this machine? Dunno...

Re: Stupid CPU/Mobo question!

I just cant see it ... You also got no sensor readings at all also ! Doesnt this mobo have a sensors chip ? It apears to have so in the BIOS (PC Health Status).

I cant even tell what speed your RAM is running at.

Anyone know if Everest is restricted from reading mobo sensors ? (it shouldnt really).

See if you can install speedfan to get some readings or ultimately go back into the bios and check what the temps and fan speeds are in PC Health status.

Dont bother mate just try fixing the RAM speed : If you can get it to 266 that would be great

Re: Stupid CPU/Mobo question!

Bah, well too late now :P

CPU TEMP - 47C
SYSTEM - 33C
CPU FAN - 5200RPM
SYS FAN - N/A
VCORE - 1.632V
+5V - 4.978V
+12 - 11.984V
-12 - 11.497
-5V - NONE (is that normal!?)

As for the RAM settings, there's loads of settings, RAS / CAS timing etc, but i can't see a clear way of getting it to 266MHz

Re: Stupid CPU/Mobo question!

Just change it to HCLK and leave the timings as they are...

Good luck [ May the force be with you ]

Re: Stupid CPU/Mobo question!

Ohhhh progress! (i think!)

Changed it to HCLK and i noticed that the DRAM Speed (reported on POST) has dropped from 333MHz down to 200MHz! (no instability either).

Think i should try putting the FSB up to 133MHz now?

Re: Stupid CPU/Mobo question!

bummer dude.

Dont know what to try from here other than opening up the PC removing 1 of the memory sticks and and non essential PC Cards.

Try running memtest

Try to boot with 1 stick alternating with the other stick

If you do - do that then please try to jot down the memory module number so that you can plug in the correct memory timings.

Cant think of anything else other that have there been any hardware additions / removals recently.
