Happy Birthday Windows! 21 today!
Yep, Windows is 21.. Windows 1.0 was launched on 20th November 1985. Some two years late (sound familiar?) and it was patched two weeks after release (again, sound familiar?)

Re: Happy Birthday Windows! 21 today!
blimey, first I saw was Windows 2.0 on an Amstrad 286.
- after DOS, the formatting options in programs like 'write', wrt to typefaces etc was pretty cool, at the time, even though it was hard to find printers that could keep up...

Re: Happy Birthday Windows! 21 today!
Windows 95 in 1996. Although in 1997 I did get my own Windows 3.1 machine, aged 7, which I thought was wonderful! I can't actually remember the spec of it, I'm sure it's still somewhere (last time I checked, it was definitely still going strong with Workgroups 3.11 on it).
Happy birthday to Windows. Anyone have a Windows 1.0 machine still laying around somewhere?
