Re: Gotta get one of these....
We had a Commodore 64 and an Amiga 500, those were the days! Funny thinking about it really, the O/S took around the same time to boot off an 880k (Obscure or what?) Double Density 3.5" Floppy as Windows XP does now

Re: Gotta get one of these....
Speccy and Amiga for me (and i had to hit hard with the guilt trippin on the parents to bag one of those for crimbo one year).
Indeed - fantastic memories.
I don't care what anyone says, at that time, there was no better time for gaming. Even if it was only because Gamesmaster rocked and Dominick Diamond knew how to dish out some stick.

Re: Gotta get one of these....
Spectrums and Amigas for me. I impressed the missus the other day by bringing some of them out. An old Spectrum ZX128 +2 with fancy built in datacorder, and the piece de resistance an old Spectrum ZX+ complete with original box. I had an original Spectrum as well once (the small one with the lovely squidgy keys), dunno what happeed to it, likewise with the Amiga... Had a colour printer for that which you had to change the head when you wanted to print in a different colour Ahh the memories.

ha, ZX81 1k built-in(with optional 16k wobbly ram pack),with silver paper and hot pins for its printerhead , now that was Hi-Tech....
"original Spectrum" now was that the original 16k version or the upgraded 48k?.
