Re: build me a custom pc
www.aria.co.uk check there to price it up, pretty cheap. you could do it yourself, I have just built a really decent PC for my dad from parts purchased there.

Re: build me a custom pc
Would the £315 be with or without the operating system? Adds a fair bit to the cost.

Re: build me a custom pc
www.meshcomputers.com
What do you mainly use your system for? this can help us choose wether you want Intel ( ie database windows work ) or AMD if you game a bit.
768mb of ram? thats assuming you meaning a chipset motherboard which is 3x 256 correct? surely you should be able to get a motherboard which could take 2x 512mb which if dual channel would be better.
DVD-rw well they are cheap as chips, I would recommend though a Sony. I have one myself on my spare pc from a friends right now and I have to say it is very good.

Re: build me a custom pc
Depends what you want it for, what you've already got that you can re-use, etc... Considering your budget, you might as well just use
http://www.savastore.com/ariespc/desktops/diy/
You can add an nvidia 6200 as an option for an extra £66.
Actually, looking at this in more detail, not sure you'll get what you're looking for only three hundred quid. Good luck trying. Maybe 2nd hand off ebay is gonna be more successful.
