Re: navig duo ez8000rf cordless keyboard mouse problems

You've done the obvious of switch the PC off when taking the old keyboard / mouse off, and plugging the new one in.

Assuming your PC is reasonably moderns with fairly current OS, plug and play is enabled it shoudl be detected, but might need some software loaded that the PC should prompt for. If it is USB, try a different USB slot just in case.

Check where the receiver is and it's in range of the keyboard / mouse wiht no likely source of interference.

Re: navig duo ez8000rf cordless keyboard mouse problems

i have a pentium 4 2.6ghz cpu 512mb ddr400 with 180 gig hdd and a geforce fx 5700 pro running windows xp pro.

the mouse and receiver are working fine and dandy its just the keyboard im having probs with.

its like theres no batteries in and nothing i do seems to power the ****ing thing up

i have now replaced the batteries yet again with yes you guessed it yet again new batteries just bought from the 24hour petrol station and still it sits there and does nothing

there is obviously something simple i am missing but i cant figure out what it is.

I have a Genius wireless cordless keyboard and mouse.Every time I replace the batteries I have 20 seconds from pressing the channel button on the receiver then Mouse and THEN THE KEYBOARD.I'd check that you don't have to do summat similar...so turn the KB over to check.

Doesn't the instruction manual tell you how to set it up?

My instruction manual does tell me but it is one small sentence buried in a morass of instructions about the dratted software that comes with it..half of which I don't really need..

Re: navig duo ez8000rf cordless keyboard mouse problems

nope still nothing from keyboard not even the battery or power leds are lighting up. the batteries are all brand new duracell plus straight out the packet and mouse and receiver are working perfectly but my keyboard just refuses to play ball and do anything at all.

i have taken the batteries out and replaced them and even checked and double checked that all the batteries are in the correct way yet it still sits there as dead as a doornail

i know remember why i always hated all this wireless c**p

any other suggestions will be greatly receieved before i throw it against a wall and then straight outta the window

thats as much use as a chocolate fireguard

totally useless

all it says is insert batteries and push any key and all should work fine except hotkeys which are done with cd
