Start up problems.
Initial screen on startup then goes to setup screen then
back to initial screen and continuously repeats. How do I
fix it?

Re: Start up problems.
what OS? Has it ever worked or is this your first attempt at booting it? What happens if you boot into Safe Mode (I'm assuming you're running a variant of Windows)?

Re: Start up problems.
Did you change or install anything prior to this error ocurring? Sounds like an install has gone wrong and now something is stuck in a loop.
Try looking in msconfig for anything strange or use this http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml for a clear view of what is running at start up.

But surely that only happens on a Tuesday KingPhoenix?
Arn`t the Wednesday ones Purple?
And your legs only fell off of his because they were Brown on Monday!
Zingles must have had a different date on them.

Re: Start up problems.
OT...
Try the following.
When the PC Posts as it's switched on press F8 repeatedly. A menu should come up.
From the menu select one of the following:
- SafeMode - loads a minimum set of drivers to get the PC working
- Last Known Good - as it said, the last settings that booted successfully
- Disable Restart on System Failure (or something) - so your PC will display a BSD instead of restarting when the error occurs.
I'd say you should try safemode first. If you did something and it came up like this then you can use System Restore to fix. It will keep all your documents intact but will reset your profile in the aesthetic department.
If you can also get the BSD and write it down then post it, it would be helpful- if we can fix it, system restore can be a useful last resort though.

Re: Start up problems.
You might be on to something there. Not necessarily memory, I've seen similar behaviour with a motherboard fault too where the windows install proceedure from the master CD never managed to get past the setup routine.
