Erasing unwanted files

I need to get rid of some files on my computer, they contain sensitive information. I'm selling it to a friend, so want to make sure it's not on the hard drive (I know you think it's porn, it isn't!). Would rather not have to wipe the OS though if I can help it. Tried Eraser but not sure if it's the best option? Any thoughts?

Try This www.killdisk.com
And also put a fresh install of Windows on there if you have the Licence for it.

Hi try this, it works in windows, and doesn't require reinstalling your OS.

I use "Without A Trace" for business files:

Although why not just tell him to buy himself a new hard drive?!
