IE doesn't want to download anything anymore

I have to use Firefox to download stuff.

All my settings are on medium.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Cheers.

Update: it will download stuff if you leave it long enough. Eventually it just appears in a temporay internet folder.

Could it be because I've moved my temp IE folder?

What happens when you click on a download link?

Re: IE doesn't want to download anything anymore

There is no sign of anything happening.

Then it just appears in a temp IE window.

So it does download stuff, just gives no indication of progress.

Weird.

Re: IE doesn't want to download anything anymore

Not sure what would cause that.. Have you tried scanning your system with adaware and spybot? It could be spyware slowing IE.

Also, try clearing out your cache, and making sure that the drive it's on is not near full. Full drives will slow down xp..
