Laptop for £400-500?
Hey, as the title suggests Im after a laptop within this price range, I'm getting a wireless router so one with a wireless network card would be preferable, also 512 ram, not massivly concerned with the hdd.
I know I want high specs for the price Im prepared to pay, so I was considering something 2nd hand or ebay, is this a good idea, or am I better off sticking with a warrenty and a battery that isnt worn out?
TIA

What about this one at £504. No OS though. http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/N...a.html?NNB-300
Also only 256mb ram.
This one has 512mb for £527

I have always been very happy with anything from them. The daughters boyfriend bought a lappy from them and it has been perfect.

http://www.dabs.com/uk/productview?quicklinx=3PXL
and it takes DDR SDRAM so another 256mb should cost you no more than about 30... and it has wireless....

Re: Laptop for £400-500?
There are a lot of new wireless 256MB laptops available for around £400 these days. The cheapest 512MB I could find was £525.
As KingPhoenix said you could always buy an extra 256MB for £30.

I think http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/ is a good place to look they have a wide range of makes, and used and new laptops. There's loads of different specs and prices, some of which seem good value to me!
Although i haven't personally used them..

You might want to look at morgancomputers.co.uk They specialise in end of lines and factory re-worls (with warranties). I've bought a desktop and a couple of cameras off em and found service and price to be excellent.
