Question Missing Network Software

Hello,

Hope somebody can advise me please.

OS. Windows 98SE
ntl Broadband 150kb. USB connected.

Today, I clicked 'My Computer' and then clicked 'Internet Connections' and a dialogue box appeared headed:-

'Missing Network Software'

Either dial up Networking or TCP/IP is not installed on your computer, or the installed version is an older version. It is strongly reccomended that you install this software.
Would you like to install the latest version now.

Yes/No If I click 'Yes' I am told to enter Windows CD

As I have Broadband should I install the software or not.

A few months ago, I was advised by someone at ntl in TS to delete a TCP/IP in Network configuration as it was entered twice, ever since then, if I turn my printer on after my pc I lose my internet connection. If I turn my printer on before my pc then all is fine.

I would appreciate comments/advice re if I should install the software or not.

Thank you.

ok, in answer to your question, yes... BUT I would switch the connection to the broadband to using a network card.
