Device manager question

Hi all, in the last couple of days whilst playing Call of Duty my pc has been locking up, most of the time it unfreezes in a few seconds, today it has locked twice forcing a re-boot. Now when I look in the device manager under display adaptors I have 2 entries for the graphics card, they read as

RADEON 9800 PRO
RADEON 9800 PRO - Secondary

Is this right ?? It doesn't look it to me, but what do I know
TIA

It's perfectly normal, don't worry about it.

It's to do with being able to add a second monitor to the card to stretch/clone your display.

Re: Device manager question

Also I get a difference in the location between primary and secondary

Primary PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0
Secondary PCI bus 1, device 0, function 1

Re: Device manager question

Freezing... try:
- the fans, check it's not overheating
- the drivers, remove and d/l the latest ATI drivers.

Re: Device manager question

I have that entry too.
It is because the card can drive 2 monitors, there should be a DVI to analouge adapter with it to run a 2nd std monitor.

I got a whole bunch of leads and plugs when I bought it, I'll have to look at them someday
