Wierd booting problem.

OK my computer wouldn't show anything on the monitor when booting. The light on the monitor stayed orange on 2 monitors. So I changed the gfx card for another and still orange.

I then changed the mobo and used the two gfx cards and nada. I then changed the monitors and nada. No beeping noise from the chassis speaker is heard. The cpu and it's fan spins and whirrs normally as so did the hdd's.

I done a vanilla mobo setup with just gfx card and mobo and cpu and nothing happens. So am I unlucky and both gfx cards are b0rked ?

One mobo is SOLTEK and the other is Gigabyte and the CPU is an Athlon 2500+.

Re: Wierd booting problem.

I have similar issues with my setup sometimes, I find I have to hit the monitor on/ off switch to get it to show the DOS screens sometimes when I install Windows etc. Did you change the monitor with one you know works?

Re: Wierd booting problem.

I changed to this monitor I am using now which is about 2 weeks old. For some reason the other monitor is showing green all the time now but hmmmm I'll try and find another gfx card from someplace.
