Re: Windows XP Pro x64 Compatibility List
EDIT:
This was a message generally slagging off Windows 64-Bit edition, Microsoft, Apple, iTunes and iPods.
Shortly after it was posted I found out the problems were my own doing (as described in the post 2 down from this one)
As I result I'm deleting this and slinking off ashamed into the corner

Errr actually its my bad
I should have known better as I get people to do it almost every day in work but I tried another USB port and it, err, seems to be working right now.
Apologies Mr Gates. Your software isn't a complete load of pants after all.
So now all I have to do is open the machine up. Reseat a bunch of cables and wonder why they are only failing after intermittant use
Next time I'll just buy a Dell.

Re: Windows XP Pro x64 Compatibility List
Greetings all
I am a newcomer to this forum so forgive me if I am asking questions for which the answers have already been posted.
I have a AMD 3400 64 bit computer which I normaly run on 2000 professional I am trying to upgrade to XP professional 64 bit which I have downloaded from the internet.
Many programs run fine but I have one big problem I cannot access the internet via my AMBIT 35100 cable modem can anyone point me to a suitable usbcm.sys drive ?

Re: Windows XP Pro x64 Compatibility List
 to CF
Any reason why you have to use the USB connection? Surely a new A64 mobo has built-in NIC?
To answer your question, I very much doubt there is a 64 USB CM driver yet (or will be).

Hi
personally I would recommend using an ethernet connection - do you have a network card in your PC?

I have of course tried both ethernet and USB both recognise that the cable modem is there but I cannot communicate with NTL!
