there is a rather large update for farcry this patch upgrades farcry to a 64bit edition which has improved graphics there is also a content patch.

this patch requires XP-64

Won't let me rep you but your article solved my problem that the ubi forums couldn't with the slow-mo bink videos in Far Cry by turning off CnQ.

Was going to turn it off anyway at the next restart before, it doesn't appear to go back to full speed when quickpar is repairing, it could of been the standby bug, but I doubt it. Thanks.

Just installed WinXP 32 to dual boot, installed video card drivers, rebooted to find that it had destroyed my x64 install.
Nice!

Good job I could save my documents/email etc.

Do you mean it destroyed it, made it completely unusable or just wrote over the boot file and doesn't present the dual boot screen? You can rebuild it if thats the case.

I says that it can't find <Windows>something.exe just after I select the XP x64 option in the boot menu.
