scan to print software

Message to everyone

Do you know of any software which enables you to use your scanner and printer like a photocopier? If nobody has already suggested then please leave details.

I've tried a few but they either dont work with my scanner or printer or they dont give me the options I want. I need to be able to crop and then enlarge things.

Thanks William.

Re: scan to print software

Quite a few scanners, my HP 5300C included, have a print button which fires up a 'photocopier' style interface to directly print from scan.

Alternatively scan to PDF (I'm assuming that like HP software most others will allow this!) and print from that Acrobat reader?

Hi William

I'm not absolutely sure what you are after, it sounds like a desktop publishing program is what you want - something like Page Plus, by Serif.

Otherwise you could look at printer drivers that offer more control over output, like fineprint

[quote=homealone]Hi William

i dont have a photocopier. i have however a scanner and a printer and a computer. im looking for software which at the click of a button i can scan something and it gets automatically sent to the printer for printing. id also like the option to see what is scanned and crop ( select just a part) the image and then enlarge it so it fills a full size a4 sheets.

obviously u can get software which you can scan something in and then you can print it out but such software usually comes with ocr programs and i dont want to use ocr i just want 2 use my pc like a photocopier.

Every scanner that I have bought or sold has come with software that enables you to do what the OP wants, Ulead iphoto express being a common one.
